Working alongside Ruth E. Carter, the 2023 Academy Award winner for Best Costume Design for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, was an incredible experience. The Costume Design team's remarkable work in bringing the costumes of Wakanda to life was celebrated for its intricate designs, cultural richness, and innovative approach. The Process

The fabricators played a vital role in translating the complex, geometric patterns and textures into materials that could be crafted into the final suit. This involved a meticulous process of choosing and working with advanced fabrics, including special materials to mimic the vibranium surface that would give the suit its sleek and high-tech look. The fabricators were essential in ensuring the design not only looked visually striking but also maintained functionality—enabling the suit to withstand the demands of action sequences while supporting the aesthetic. The collaboration with fabricators on the surface design of the Black Panther suit in Wakanda Forever was a crucial aspect of bringing the concept to life. Working closely with the talented team at Film Illusions Inc., along with Key Specialty Costumer Federico Cervantes, the process involved translating intricate design concepts into tangible, wearable elements.
